A new SECURE Act 2.0 was signed into law on Dec. 29, 2022. The overall goal of this bipartisan legislation is to expand access to worksite retirement plans, enable workers to enroll and save earlier in careers, and broadly encourage more Americans to save for retirement while helping ensure those same Americans do not run out of money while in retirement.
