Governor Spanberger Welcomes Craft Brewers to Executive Mansion to Celebrate Virginia Craft Beer Month
RICHMOND, VA—Virginia’s craft brewing community gathered at the Executive Mansion on the evening of Monday, August 17, as Governor Abigail Spanberger hosted a special reception in honor of Virginia Craft Beer Month, welcoming members of the Virginia Craft Brewers Guild and participants in the 2026 Virginia Craft Beer Cup.
The event brought together brewers from across the Commonwealth to recognize the industry’s contributions to Virginia’s economy, agriculture, tourism, and local communities. Attendees enjoyed an evening of networking, recognition, and award-winning Virginia craft beer.
Governor Spanberger and Virginia Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry Katie Frazier addressed attendees and expressed their appreciation for the innovation, entrepreneurship, and dedication that define Virginia’s craft brewing industry. They highlighted the important role breweries play in supporting local economies, reinforced Virginia’s reputation as one of the nation’s premier craft beer destinations, and recognized the industry’s continued growth and success.
The reception served as a fitting tribute to Virginia Craft Beer Month and the independent craft brewers who continue to make Virginia one of the best places in America to enjoy craft beer.
