The Revolutionary Brews™ People’s Choice Challenge is an official featured tasting experience held during the Virginia Craft Beer Summit & Gala on Monday, August 10, as part of the Revolutionary Brews™ Beer Collaboration Program.
In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, participating breweries will showcase beers inspired by Virginia’s revolutionary history, brewing traditions, historic ingredients, and the enduring spirit of innovation that defines Virginia craft beer today. Summit attendees and fellow brewers will sample participating entries and vote for the beer that best captures the creativity, craftsmanship, and revolutionary spirit of Virginia craft brewing.
The winner will be named “The Most Revolutionary Brew in Virginia,” which will be announced live during the Virginia Craft Beer Gala immediately prior to the 2026 Virginia Craft Beer Cup Awards Ceremony.
All entries must be registered no later than 5 PM on July 31, 2026. No fees are required for participation.

Delivery & Handling Requirements
Delivery Window: Participating breweries must deliver their beer chilled to the Farm Bureau Center between 10 AM and 12 PM on Monday, August 10. Additional delivery instructions and logistics will be provided to participating breweries prior to the Summit.
Recommended Serving Quantities: No minimum quantity is required to participate. However, breweries are strongly encouraged to bring enough product to allow as many attendees as possible to sample and vote on their entry. Recommended serving quantities include: 1/6-barrel keg (sixtel), 1/4-barrel keg, firkin, or approximately 3 cases of 16-oz cans (or equivalent volume).
Serving Equipment: Participating breweries are responsible for providing all equipment necessary to serve their beer, including taps, jockey boxes, kegs, etc. The VCBG will provide sample cups and ice.
Staffing & Pouring: Participating breweries are encouraged to have a representative on-site to pour samples and engage with attendees throughout the tasting sessions. Event staff will also be available to assist with pouring throughout the Summit, allowing brewery representatives flexibility to attend breakout sessions and other event programming.
Voting Process
Voting will be conducted by attendees during the tasting session in the Revolutionary Brews Beer Garden. Each attendee may cast only one (1) vote for their favorite Revolutionary Brew™ entry.
The entry receiving the highest number of attendee votes will be named “The Most Revolutionary Brew in Virginia.” The winner will be announced live during the Virginia Craft Beer Gala.
