St. George Brewing Company hosts Beerlympics to benefit Animal Aid Society

Hampton, VA – On July 24, the St. George Brewing Company held its First Annual Beerlympics and raised $2,000 to benefit Animal Aid Society, a no kill dog shelter in Hampton.  15 teams from all over Tidewater competed in traditional field day events including three-legged race, giant beer pong, pool noodle javelin throws and more in a fun-filled day of games and beer.

Early Birds Bottle Shop in Poquoson and Sinful Treats in Hampton were major event sponsors.  Other sponsors included Islander Team Sports, Specialty Beverage, Darnell Landscaping, Tap It, Prairie Malt, and Crunchy Hydration.  Volunteers from CASK, a local home brew club, provided support for the event.

Crystal Woody from the Animal Aid Society says, “We’re grateful to St. George Brewing Company for the money they raised to help us continue our mission to save lives and bring hope for pets in need.  We look forward to watching this annual event grow and help us create more awareness about Animal Aid Society.”
