Tradition Brewing Company Newest Release: “Beer with a Vision”

“Beer with a Vision” will be released on July 30, 2021.

“Just as things were starting to get back to normal here at Tradition Brewing Company on the back side of the COVID pandemic, our Head Brewer Brian suffered a retina detachment and was on the sidelines for quite some time after emergency surgery to stabilize his vision. This was Brian’s second retina detachment and he is now visually impaired in both eyes. While this could have been a disaster for the brewery our good friend Greg (formerly of Precarious Brewing Company and now of Proximity Malt ) stepped up and kept things flowing by helping us get beers packaged. Greg joined us again to brew a very special “Beer With a Vision” alongside Brian.

“Beer With A Vision is being brewed with ingredients and materials donated by our generous suppliers (Hop Havoc, Wine & Beer Supply, Omega Yeast, Proximity Malt, Blanco Labels, Inc.) to raise funds and awareness for “Team With A Vision” and Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Brian will be running this year’s 125th Boston Marathon with Team With A Vision along with 80+ others including blind, visually impaired, and guide runners. MABVI is committed to supporting individuals so they successfully adapt to living with vision loss. By teaching new strategies for doing all the activities they previously relied on their vision for, their goal is to give individuals a renewed confidence in living.

“Beer With a Vision is a Hazy Pale Ale, brewed with Citra and El Dorado hops along with tons of Proximity Malted Oats for a silky smooth, juicy mouthfeel and huge citrus and tropical fruit aroma. BWAV will be available in 4-packs and on Draft in our Newport News taproom and the proceeds will directly benefit TWAV, MABVI, and their mission.”

Brewed to benefit Massachusetts Association for the Blindy and Visually Impaired: mabvi.org.
