WILLIAMSBURG — Locals can try a brand new ale while supporting a local charitable organization.
The Virginia Beer Company (VBC), 401 2nd St., is introducing Bridles & Boots, a 5.3% abv Golden Ale. Brewed with Golden Promise Malt and a touch of bright Centennial hops, the seasonable ale release will benefit Dream Catchers at the Cori Sikich Therapeutic Riding Center in Toano.
Dream Catchers is a charitable organization that provides equine-assisted activities as well as therapies. The therapeutic riding center empowers individuals with special needs.
The Bridles & Boots ale is named after Dream Catcher’s major annual fundraiser that has been canceled for the second year in a row due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Each year, the event raises money to support barn operations and their services for children and adults with special needs.
VBC will donate 20 percent of gross sales for the Bridles & Boots sales to support the activities and services of Dream Catchers.
