Virginia’s Craft Beer Industry Unites for Hurricane Relief Efforts

RICHMOND, VA — Virginia’s independent craft beer industry has rallied to support fellow brewers and communities in southern/southwest Virginia and western North Carolina impacted by Hurricane Helene. In the spirit of camaraderie that defines the independent craft beer industry, 32 breweries from across the Commonwealth are participating in the “Pouring for Neighbors” initiative.*

Participating breweries will dedicate a percentage of specific beer sales to financially supporting recovery efforts in the affected areas. This initiative, coordinated by the North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild, highlights the resilience of the independent craft beer industry.

“Our industry thrives on collaboration and we’re proud to be of service to our North Carolina neighbors in their time of need,” said Brett Vassey, President & CEO of the Virginia Craft Brewers Guild.

“Every pint poured is a step toward recovery, and we invite everyone to raise a glass for those impacted by Hurricane Helene,” said Stacie Gordon, VCBG Government Relations Manager.

There are over 120 breweries located in FEMA designated localities in North Carolina. As part of the “Pouring for Neighbors” initiative, craft beer enthusiasts can enjoy their favorite brews while contributing to a meaningful cause.
